20% Increase from 2012 by General Motors in Hybrid Production in 2013

Before the car Chevrolet Volt was introduced to the market late in the year 2010, the representatives of General Motors were basically talking about really huge production numbers like making 45,000 to 60,000 cars per year.

But it has been a very different picture from that time onwards and the car did not sell that many. The car only sold 7,671 units in 2011 and a modest 23,461 in the year 2012. When you add to the is the newly modeled Opel Ampera, GM sold around 30,000 of the Hybrid cars in the last year and the Volt turned out to be the best selling one of the lot in the last quarter in the United States. Now that the company finally has the momentum with it, the high expectations are starting to come back.
