In 2003 Audi started manufacture of autos type A8, modification of 4.0 TDI quattro and finished it in 2005. This 4-door sedan has a length of 5.1 meters, weight 1.9 tons and is designed to sit 5 men total.

«A8 4.0 TDI quattro» auto with a 6-speed sequential automatic gearbox is fitted to the full wheels. Back wheels have ventilated disks brakes and fixed to the undercarriage with help of suspension type «Multilink, pneumatic» and equipped anti-roll bar. Tires have the following size - 235/55R17.

Audi A8 is not tested for Euro NCAP crash test. In addition to dynamic safety (Traction control, ESP, ABS, EBD, Brake assistant), it is also equipped with passive safety features (passenger, head/curtain, side, driver airbags).
