In 2010 Audi launched production of autos model A8, modification of 4.2 TDI quattro Pro Line. The weight of the car is 2 tons and a length of 5.1 meters, It is formed as sedan with four doors, and can be fit in 5 men with a driver.
«A8 4.2 TDI quattro Pro Line» is a full wheel drive car with a 8-speed sequential automatic transmission. This auto can be accelerated for 5.5 seconds to 100 km/h, with a top speed of 250 km/h, due to a 8-cylinders diesel engine with a «common rail fuel system», which produce a peak power of 350 horsepower at 4000 rpm.
Gas tank volume of this car is 90 l of diesel, thereby when mixed fuel rate is 7.6 liters per 100 km (6.1 l on the highway, 10.2 l in the urban), what allows to go nearly 1185 km without refueling.
The front wheels of this vehicle have ventilated disks brakes and fixed to the undercarriage with help of suspension «Multilink, pneumatic» and equipped with stabilizer bar. Back wheels have ventilated disks brakes and fixed to the undercarriage through suspension «Multilink, pneumatic» and equipped with stabilizer bar. Tires have the following size - 235/55R18.
Audi A8 is not examined for Euro NCAP crash test. Furthermore to dynamic safety (ABS, Brake assistant, EBD, Traction control, ESP), it is also equipped with passive systems of safety (side, head/curtain, passenger, driver airbags).
