Rearward wheels have ventilated disks brakes and attached to the underframe with help of suspension «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped with sway bar. Tires have the following dimensions - 225/50R17.

BMW 3-series is not tested for Euro NCAP crash test. In addition to active systems of safety (ABS, Traction control, Brake assistant, EBD, ESP), it is also equipped with passive safety systems (passenger, side, driver, head/curtain airbags).
