In 2008 BMW launched manufacture of cars model 3-series Cabrio, modification of M3 Cabrio and closed it in 2010. This automobile has two doors, the body chassis is in the form a cabriolet, weight 1.8 tons and length 4.6 meters, that allows a seat 4 person in sum.

Fuel consumption is 18.7 liters in the city driving mode, on the highway 9.6 liters, and the normal fuel rate is 12.9 l per 100 kilometers. Gas tank volume is 63 liters of petrol, what lets to go approximately 489 km without refueling.

The front wheels of this car have ventilated disks, 360 mm brakes and fixed to the chassis using suspension type «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped with sway bar. Back wheels have ventilated disks, 350 mm brakes and attached to the chassis through suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped with stabilizer bar. Tires have the next size - 245/40R18.

In accordance with the results of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of BMW 3-series Cabrio got the higher quantity of stars - five, indicating that it is a highly safe automobile. In addition to passive systems of safety (driver, head/curtain, side, passenger airbags), it is also has active safety systems such as Traction control, Brake assistant, ESP, EBD, ABS.
