The model of Daewoo car was developed with two options of engine such as developed XK6 inline-6 engine that can be able to offer 155 horsepower at 5000 rpm with DOHC 24V and of torque at 400 rpm that was the Canadian specification or with the option of Holden-built 2.0L E-TEC II Inline-4 with DOHC that was carried over from the Leganza model. This model was named as Daewoo Evanda and launched in the market with all these features. The responsibility for the design and styling of both the Magnus and Leganza model was the ItalDesign of Italy. But, the styling and design of the upcoming model V250 were done by GM Daewoo in Korea.

In Western Europe the V200 model was marketed in the name of Daewoo Evanda during the period of 2000 to 2004. At the same time, it was marketed as Chevrolet Evanda in the Eastern European Countries where the Daewoo brand was not used by GM. This is because of the manufactured versions of the old Daewoo models were sold under the name of that marque. The Chevrolet Alero and Leganza were replaced by the Evanda model. The entire Daewoo brand was replaced by the Chevrolet model in all of Europe in the late 2004 as named accordingly.
