In 1997 to 2002, a car with the model of front-wheel drive mid-size sedan was manufactured by Daewoo Motors that was the South Korean car manufacturing company namely Daewoo Leganza. The name of this car was originated from the two Italian words forza (power) and elegante (elegant). This model was entered into the North American market in 1999 and it had the largest company flagship. It was treated as the most expensive Daewoo model. The Daewoo Leganza model was producing 134 horsepower with the feature of DOHC 2.2 liter four-cylinder petrol engine. The bureau Italdesign, which was the famous Italian vehicle design that led by Giorgetto Giugiaro was the responsibility for a lot of parts and accessories and the body style of this model.
When you consider about the trim levels of this Leganza, it was suggested having the trim levels as the SX, CDX and SE. The SX and CDX versions of this model were came up with the 4-speed automatic transmission that was standard part of it. In the case of SE version, it was treated as the optional one because of the completed 5-speed manual gearbox it had. When you go through the list of standard Daewoo Leganza parts, then you would probably end up with the result as keyless entry with a theft-deterrent system, tilt steering wheel, rear defogger, power locks and windows and the footlights. The SX trim of this model was featured with cruise control, cassette/CD player, power steering, and six-way power driver seat and leather upholstery. In 2002, this model was ceased with the American market even though Daewoo provided the owners of cars with the roadside assistance program that would be more helpful for them. Even though this model was ceased in 2002, the Suzuki Verona had come up with the V200 platform of Leganza. In 2007, Daewoo Tosca that was the successor of Leganza launched in the name of Chevrolet Epica.
