From 2007 Ford launched production of cars model S-MAX, modification of 2.0 TDCi and terminated it in 2008. This five-door minivan is assigned to sit 57 passengers including the driver.

«S-MAX 2.0 TDCi» have a front wheel drive vehicle with a 6-speed sequential automatic transmission. This auto can be accelerated for 11.9 s to 100 km/h, with a top speed of 188 km/h, owing to a 4-cylinders diesel motor with a «common rail system», which produce a peak output of 130 hp at 4000 rpm.

Fuel rate is 9.9 l in the city driving mode, on the highway 5.8 liters, and the medium fuel rate is 7.3 liters per 100 km. Fuel tank capacity is 70 liters of diesel, what lets to drive roughly 959 km unrefueled.

The front wheels of this car have ventilated disks brakes and attached to the underframe with help of suspension «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped stabilizer bar. Rearward wheels have disks brakes and attached to the undercarriage using suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped with stabilizer bar. Tires have the following dimensions - 225/50R17.

According to the information of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Ford S-MAX received the maximum number of stars - five, which means that it is a very safe car. In addition to passive safety features (passenger, head/curtain, driver, side airbags), it is also has dynamic systems of safety such as Brake assistant, EBD, ABS, Traction control, ESP.
