In 1992 the third and newest generation of the Honda CRX was brought to the market and it had a Targa top convertible option which was unusual. While the car was based on the platform of the Civic, the car was released a year later in the USA and The UK after Japan. And as the car was different than the previous versions of it the name of the Civic was taken out and it is just known as Del Sol.
