In 2005 Jaguar launched production of automobiles model XJ, modification of 6 2.7D Sovereign and closed it in 2007. This four-door sedan has a length of 5.1 meters, weight 1.6 tons and is assigned to fit 5 passengers total.

«XJ 6 2.7D Sovereign» is a rear wheel drive auto with a 6-speed automatic gear shift. The 6-cylinders diesel engine with «common rail fuel system» can generate output 204 horsepower at 4000 rmp, allowing you to accelerate the car in 8.2 seconds to 100 km/h and obtain top speed of 225 km/h.

Gas tank capacity of this vehicle is 85 l of diesel, therefore when medium fuel consumption is 8.1 liters per 100 km (6.5 l on the highway, 10.8 liters in the urban), what allows to go about 1050 km without refueling.

The forward wheels of this car have ventilated disks, 300 mm brakes and attached to the body chassis by dint of suspension type «Double wishbone, independent, pneumatic» and equipped with stabilizer bar. Rear wheels have ventilated disks, 288 mm brakes and fixed to the underframe by dint of suspension type «Independent, pneumatic» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Tires have the following measure - 255/40R19.

Jaguar XJ is not tested for Euro NCAP crash test. In addition to passive safety features (side, head/curtain, driver, passenger airbags), it is also equipped with dynamic systems of safety such as ESP, ABS, Brake assistant, EBD, Traction control.
