Mazda launched production in 2010 of autos model 5, modification of 1.8 Business. This 5-door minivan has a length of 4.6 meters, weight 1.4 tons and is designed to sit 57 people total.

«5 1.8 Business» have a front-wheel drive auto with a 6-speed manual transmission. This car can speed up for 12.8 s to 100 km/h, with a max speed of 182 km/h, owing to a 4-cylinders petrol motor engine with a «multipoint injection system», which generate a maximum power of 115 horsepower at 5300 rpm.

Fuel consumption is 9.3 l in the urban driving mode, on the suburban 6 liters, and the normal fuel consumption is 7.2 l per 100 km. Fuel tank capacity is 60 l of petrol, what lets to go nearly 834 kilometers without refueling.

The front wheels of this car have ventilated disks, 278 mm brakes and fixed to the chassis by dint of suspension type «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped with stabilizer bar. Rear wheels have disks, 300 mm brakes and fixed to the underframe using suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped anti-roll bar. Tires have the next dimensions - 205/55R16.

Mazda 5 is not tested for Euro NCAP crash test. Furthermore to passive systems of safety (side, passenger, head/curtain, driver airbags), it is also equipped with active safety systems such as ABS, Traction control, Brake assistant, EBD, ESP.
