Production modification 1.8 TS of automobile models 6 was launched in 2010 by Mazda. This five-door hatchback has a length of 4.8 meters, weight 1.3 tons and is designed to fit 5 person including the driver.

«6 1.8 TS» is a front wheel drive automobile with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This car can speed up for 11.7 s to 100 km/h, with a max speed of 194 km/h, owing to a 4-cylinders petrol engine with a «multipoint injection fuel system», which generate a peak output of 120 hp at 5500 rpm.

Gas tank capacity of this vehicle is 64 l of petrol, therefore when intermediate fuel rate is 6.5 l per 100 km (5 l on the highway, 9.2 l in the urban), that allows to go roughly 985 kilometers without refueling.

The front wheels of this car have ventilated disks, 299 mm brakes and fixed to the underframe using suspension type «Double wishbone, independent, coil springs» and equipped stabilizer bar. Rear wheels have disks, 280 mm brakes and fixed to the body chassis by dint of suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Tires have the next measure - 215/50R17.

According to the results of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Mazda 6 gained the higher number of stars - five, which indicates that it is a very safe automobile. Furthermore to dynamic safety features (ABS, ESP, Brake assistant, Traction control, EBD), it is also equipped with passive safety features (driver, head/curtain, side, passenger airbags).
