From 2004 Mercedes-Benz started manufacture of autos type C-klasse, modification of C 220 CDI Elegance and terminated it in 2005. This 4-door sedan has a length of 4.5 meters, weight 1.5 tons and is destined to fit 5 passengers including the driver.

«C-klasse C 220 CDI Elegance» automobile with a 5-speed automatic gear shift is connected to the rear wheels. The 4-cylinders diesel motor with «common rail system» can produce power 150 hp at 4200 rmp, which allows you to speed up the automobile for 10.3 s to 100 km/h and reach maximum speed of 218 km/h.

Gas tank volume of this auto is 62 liters of diesel, so when intermediate fuel rate is 6.5 l per 100 km (5.2 l on the track, 8.8 liters in the city), accordingly allows to go nearly 954 km unrefuelled.

The forward wheels of this vehicle have ventilated disks, 288 mm brakes and attached to the chassis by dint of suspension «Double wishbone, independent, coil springs» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Rear wheels have disks, 278 mm brakes and attached to the body chassis with help of suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped stabilizer bar. Tires have the next dimensions - 205/55R16.

In accordance with the data of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Mercedes-Benz C-klasse gained the maximal quantity of stars - five, which means that it is a very safe auto.
