In 2007 Mercedes-Benz began production of cars type R-klasse, modification R 350 and closed it in 2010. This vehicle has five doors, the body chassis is shaped like a minivan, weight 2 tons and length 4.9 meters, that allows a seat 57 men in sum.

«R-klasse R 350» automobile with a 7-speed sequential automatic gearbox is fitted to the rear-wheels. This auto can speed up for 8.1 s to 100 km/h, with a top speed of 234 km/h, thanks to a 6-cylinders petrol motor engine with a «multipoint injection fuel system», which produce a peak power of 272 hp at 6000 rpm.

Gas tank capacity of this auto is 80 l of petrol, so when normal fuel rate is 11.3 liters per 100 km (8.8 liters on the suburban, 15.7 l in the urban), that allow you drive nearly 708 kilometers unrefueled.

The front wheels of this vehicle have ventilated disks brakes and fixed to the body chassis with help of suspension «Double wishbone, independent, coil springs» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Rearward wheels have disks brakes and fixed to the underframe using suspension type «Multilink, pneumatic» and equipped sway bar. Tires have the next dimensions - 255/55R18.

Mercedes-Benz R-klasse is not certified for crash test Euro NCAP. Furthermore to passive safety features (driver, passenger, head/curtain, side airbags), it is also equipped with active safety such as ESP, Brake assistant, EBD, Traction control, ABS.
