From 2007 Mercedes-Benz started manufacture of automobiles model R-klasse, modification of R 280 CDI Lang and closed it in 2009. In this vehicle can sit 57 men including the driver, it has the body type of a minivan with five doors, and length 5.2 meters, weight 2.1 tons.

Back wheels have disks brakes and fixed to the body chassis using suspension «Multilink, pneumatic» and equipped with sway bar. Tires have the following size - 255/55R18.

Mercedes-Benz R-klasse is not tested for Euro NCAP crash test. In addition to active safety systems (Brake assistant, ABS, Traction control, ESP, EBD), it is also has passive safety systems (driver, passenger, side, head/curtain airbags).
