From 2009 Mercedes-Benz launched manufacture of cars model S-klasse, modification of S 450 Prestige Plus and closed it in 2010. This four-door sedan has a length of 5.1 meters, weight 1.9 tons and is designed to sit 5 people including the driver.

«S-klasse S 450 Prestige Plus» automobile with a 7-speed sequential automatic transmission is connected to the rear-wheels. 8-cylinders petrol motor with «multipoint injection fuel system» can produce power 340 horsepower at 6000 rmp, which allows you to accelerate the car in 5.9 s to 100 km/h and reach max speed of 250 km/h.

Fuel rate is 15.9 liters in the city driving mode, on the track 7.7 liters, and the average fuel rate is 10.6 liters per 100 km. Fuel tank capacity is 90 l of petrol, what lets to drive nearly 850 km unrefueled.

The forward wheels of this model have ventilated disks brakes and fixed to the underframe with help of suspension «Double wishbone, independent, pneumatic» and equipped stabilizer bar. Rear wheels have disks brakes and attached to the underframe by dint of suspension «Multilink, pneumatic» and equipped sway bar. Tires have the next dimensions - 235/55R17.

Mercedes-Benz S-klasse is not examined for Euro NCAP crash test. Furthermore to active safety features (ABS, ESP, EBD, Brake assistant, Traction control), it is also has passive safety (passenger, driver, side, head/curtain airbags).
