In 2005 Opel launched production of autos model Astra, modification of 1.3 CDTi Edition and terminated it in 2006. This 5-door hatchback has a length of 4.2 meters, weight 1.2 tons and is designed to fit 5 men total.

In accordance with the data of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Opel Astra got the higher number of stars - 5, which indicates that it is a very safe car. Furthermore to passive safety (passenger, side, driver, head/curtain airbags), it is also equipped with dynamic systems of safety such as Brake assistant, EBD, ABS.
