From 2010 Opel launched production of automobiles model Astra, modification 2.0 CDTI Edition and finished it in 2011. This auto has five doors, the body chassis is in the form a hatchback, weight 1.4 tons and length 4.4 meters, which allows a seat 5 men total.

«Astra 2.0 CDTI Edition» is a front-wheel drive automobile with a 6-speed manual gear shift. This automobile can speed up for 9 s to 100 km/h, with a peak speed of 215 km/h, owing to a 4-cylinders diesel engine with a «common rail system», which generate a maximum output of 160 hp at 4000 rpm.

Fuel rate is 6.2 liters in the city mode of driving, on the track 3.9 l, and the mixed fuel rate is 4.8 l per 100 km. Tank capacity is 56 liters of diesel, what lets to go nearly 1167 km unrefuelled.

The forward wheels of this model have ventilated disks brakes and attached to the undercarriage by dint of suspension «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Rear wheels have disks brakes and attached to the underframe using suspension «Semi-independent, coil springs» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Tires have the following dimensions - 215/60R16.

According to the results of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Opel Astra gained the higher quantity of stars - five, which means that it is a highly safe auto. Furthermore to passive safety systems (passenger, head/curtain, driver, side airbags), it is also equipped with active safety such as ABS, ESP, Traction control, EBD, Brake assistant.
