In 2006 Volkswagen launched production of autos type Touran, modification 2.0 16V FSI Business and finished it in 2006. This automobile has five doors, the body chassis is shaped like a minivan, weight 1.5 tons and length 4.4 meters, which allows a seat 5 people in sum.

The front wheels of this model have ventilated disks, 288 mm brakes and attached to the body chassis with help of suspension type «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped sway bar. Rear wheels have disks, 260 mm brakes and fixed to the undercarriage through suspension «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped with stabilizer bar. Tires have the next dimensions - 205/55R16.

According to the data of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Volkswagen Touran gained the maximal quantity of stars - five, which means that it is a very safe vehicle. In addition to passive safety (passenger, driver, head/curtain, side airbags), it is also equipped with dynamic systems of safety such as ESP, EBD, Traction control, ABS, Brake assistant.
