Rearward wheels have disks, 260 mm brakes and attached to the body chassis with help of suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped sway bar. Tires have the next dimensions - 195/65R15.

According to the results of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Volkswagen Touran gained the higher number of stars - five, which means that it is a very safe automobile. Furthermore to dynamic safety features (Brake assistant, ESP, Traction control, ABS, EBD), it is also equipped with passive systems of safety (side, driver, passenger, head/curtain airbags).
