BMW Z1 · photos, packages and modifications

The Z1 model, which featured a body that is easy to remove and was built on a brand new BMW chassis, was introduced officially by BMW at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This car was built by using an aerodynamic undertray and several types of plastic and hence its entire body was easy to remove from the chassis. An integrated roll bar and multilink configuration made up BMW Z3's suspension. The German manufacturer had to stop the BMW Z1 in 1991 owing to a significant decrease in its sales during the following years even though European customers were enthusiastic about its production in its first production year. In addition, the North American market could not access the Z1.
