The introduction of the second generation of a Sebring Convertible made in 2001. The Sebring Convertible was restyled in 2003 with the revised front fascia.

Compared to the Sedan variant, Chrysler Sebring didn't make any production cycle at the time, but it made that by a year later. It was featured with some interesting new components in 2007 and released as a 2008-year model for the large public. This model was designed in order to deliver the 140 horsepower with the 2.0L turbocharged unit, which is a common rail diesel unit produced by German automotive company Volkswagen as the export units. It also had the option of the new power hardtop. The plans to redesign the second generation Sebring Convertible was announced by Chrysler in 2009.
