The appearance of the production version of Citroen C6 was supposed to be done in 2001, with the design concept based on the C6 Lingage, which was presented in 1999. It was the time, when the production of last XM was on. But, the appearance of the model was not happened and there was no flagship model of Citroen until 2006. The main advantage of the C6 is fastback styling and the model with a concave rear window, compared to German competitors. It was also featured with directional headlights based on the trim model and hydro-pneumatic suspension, like its predecessors in a reliable way.
