The Xantia break was developed by Citroen, a French manufacturer which had very reliable engines. Some of the models could even do up to 300.000 miles (480.000km) due to its gasoline engines of the PSU-XS series. The HDi direct injection turbo-diesel was introduced in two versions in 1998, a 110 hp intercooled version and a 90 hp (67 kW) version. The economical diesel HDi engine also gave a throttle response that was generally seen as a gasoline model and at a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h).

The Citroen Xantia had an exceptional grip at the front hand along with having amazing suspension and the ability to raise themselves. The car had a safe handling and was good looking at the same time. It was produced from the years 1995 to 1998 and had 8 different engines that offered from 1.8 liter to 2.1 liter and produced from 75 bhp to 150 bhp. The Xantia Break was a great car for large families as it had a large luggage space and the interior had a lot of space and room and was light. Although the car had a faulty clutch, it can be said that it was built to be reliable and do high miles.
