The more spacious version of the Citroen XM had been the break version rather than its sedan version, which was especially for long journeys and large families. The car is definitely very spacious but it’s also has a very powerful engine it to provide the power for such a high weight car. The 1992 lineup of this car had five versions of the engine between the high powered 3.0 liter and the 2.0 liter with the maximum power of the car to be 170 hp.

The company continued the car production in 1994 with a new version of the car which had small improvements to its which differentiated between the older version of the car and the newer version of it. The modifications made on the exterior were quite small to be noticed, some new engine versions were included in the lineup of the car. This new version came out till 1997 before been replaced with a newer one.

Citroen introduced a new and improved XM break in the year 1997 that basically had the same look on the exterior of the car as its previous versions in 1994 and 1992. The choices between the engines came down to five again, and the highest powered engine was the 3.0 liter one which had increased the horsepower (194 hp) now compared to the lower horsepower (170 hp) of the older versions. The car was in production for three years like the other other variants and was finally discontinued in 2000.
