In 1996, the first Ford SportKa model was introduced in the name of Ka and sold out both in America and Europe. It was not only the model designed until 2003 as the special editions including the StreetKa and SportKa models. The SportKa model was featured with the 16 inch alloy wheels and the new body kit similar to the StreetKa. It was also featured with the embedded fog lights in the front bumper, which was another efficient difference from the base model. This model was advertised as the one that was normally the opposite of regular Ka vehicle with better drive.
