Manufacturing modification 1.6 CiTD TS+ of auto models 5 was launched in 2010 by Mazda. This car has five doors, the body chassis is in the form a minivan, weight 1.4 tons and length 4.6 meters, that allows a seat 57 person total.

«5 1.6 CiTD TS+» automobile with a 6-speed manual gearbox is fitted to the front-wheels. The 4-cylinders diesel motor with «common rail fuel system» can generate power 115 horsepower at 4000 rmp, allowing you to speed up the automobile in 13.7 seconds to 100 km/h and obtain max speed of 180 km/h.

Fuel rate is 6.4 liters in the urban driving mode, on the suburban 4.6 liters, and the medium fuel rate is 5.2 l per 100 kilometers. Tank volume is 60 liters of diesel, what provides to go approximately 1154 km unrefuelled.

The forward wheels of this car have ventilated disks, 278 mm brakes and fixed to the chassis using suspension type «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped stabilizer bar. Rear wheels have disks, 300 mm brakes and attached to the undercarriage by dint of suspension «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped with sway bar. Tires have the next dimensions - 205/55R16.

Mazda 5 is not tested for crash test Euro NCAP. Furthermore to passive systems of safety (side, driver, head/curtain, passenger airbags), it is also has active safety such as Traction control, Brake assistant, ESP, ABS, EBD.
