From 2007 Opel launched manufacture of autos model Antara, modification 2.0 CDTI Cosmo and terminated it in 2011. The weight of the car is 1.8 tn and a length of 4.6 m, It is formed as SUV & Crossover with five doors, and can be fit in 5 person including the driver.

«Antara 2.0 CDTI Cosmo» auto with a 5-speed automatic gearbox is connected to the full wheels. This auto can speed up for 12.1 s to 100 km/h, with a ceiling speed of 178 km/h, owing to a 4-cylinders diesel motor engine with a «common rail system», which generate a max output of 150 horsepower at 4000 rpm.

Fuel rate is 11.5 liters in the city driving mode, on the track 6.8 liters, and the mixed fuel rate is 8.6 liters per 100 kilometers. Gas tank volume is 65 liters of diesel, what lets to go nearly 756 km unrefuelled.

The front wheels of this car have ventilated disks brakes and fixed to the underframe with help of suspension «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Rear wheels have disks brakes and fixed to the underframe through suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Tires have the following dimensions - 235/55R18.

Opel Antara is not certified for crash test Euro NCAP. In addition to passive safety (driver, head/curtain, side, passenger airbags), it is also equipped with dynamic safety features such as Brake assistant, Traction control, ABS, EBD, ESP.
