Rearward wheels have ventilated disks, 300 mm brakes and fixed to the undercarriage by dint of suspension «Multilink, pneumatic» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Tires have the following dimensions - 225/55R17.

Mercedes-Benz CL-klasse is not certified for crash test Euro NCAP. Furthermore to dynamic safety features (Traction control, ABS, EBD, Brake assistant, ESP), it is also equipped with passive safety (driver, side, passenger, head/curtain airbags).
