From 2010 Volvo started production of cars type V60, modification of D3 R-Design and terminated it in 2011. This five-door wagon has a length of 4.6 meters, weight 1.5 tons and is destined to sit 5 people including the driver.

«V60 D3 R-Design» have a front-wheel drive auto with a 6-speed sequential automatic gear shift. This car can be accelerated for 9.4 s to 100 km/h, with a peak speed of 215 km/h, owing to a 5-cylinders diesel engine with a «common rail fuel system», which produce a maximum power of 163 horsepower at 3000 rpm.

Gas tank volume of this auto is 68 liters of diesel, therefore when normal fuel consumption is 6 liters per 100 km (4.8 liters on the suburban, 8.1 l in the urban), what allows drive approximately 1134 km without refueling.

The front wheels of this car have ventilated disks brakes and attached to the underframe with help of suspension «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped sway bar. Rearward wheels have disks brakes and fixed to the chassis with help of suspension «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped stabilizer bar. Tires have the next dimensions - 235/40R18.

In conformity with the results of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Volvo V60 gained the higher quantity of stars - 5, which means that it is a perfect safe car. Furthermore to active systems of safety (EBD, Traction control, ABS, ESP, Brake assistant), it is also has passive safety systems (side, driver, head/curtain, passenger airbags).
