Audi in its attempt to win the hatch war and to face the tough competition from the AMG tuned Mercedes Benz A-class variant and the latest launched BMW M135i, has arranged the most effective and forceful S3 in an attempt to retain grounds.

The 2.0 litre four cylinder TFSI engine present inside the hood of the S3 features direct injection and turbocharger. Using the Audi’s Quattro system, the mill attached to the S3’s standard manual six speed transmission or the optional S Tronic six speed dual clutch unit produces horsepower of 300 and a torque of 280 lbs-ft to every wheel.

Operational with the dual clutch gearbox, S3 accelerates in 5.1 seconds from 0-62 and the high speed electronically is limited to 155 mph. Although S3 enjoys an athletic nature however Audi ensures that the 2013 model of S3 in a mixed European cycle will provide 34 mpg.

Look wise S3 is is very different from the A3 mainly due to an Audi specific grille, a low ground clearance, and the air diffuser which is bordered by the four chromed exhaust tips. The model comes with standard low profile tires mounted with alloy rims of 18 inches and heavier disc brakes on all corners that allow easy checking of all things.
