CITROEN BX · photos, packages and modifications

The modern hatchback successor of the aging GSA and GS models was designed in the name of the BX. The angular design of this model would remind about the Volvo Tundra concept. But, there was also coincidence of these two models as both were designed by the head of design, Marcelo Gandini at Bertone during the time. In 1976, many components of BX were shared with the Peugeot 405 in order to get benefits from the Peugeot-Citroen merger. But, the model was featured with numerous plastic body panels, hydro-pneumatic self-leaving suspension and the disc brakes all around that were the own technology of Citroen. In 1989, before three years from the facelift of the model it was redesigned with more powerful engines, an updated front fascia and new cleaner options.
